About Dr. Shin
Tae Shin, MD, is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon, bringing years of experience in spine surgery and general orthopedics to Los Angeles Orthopaedic Center, serving adults and teens living in and around Downtown Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Shin earned his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He subsequently completed an internship and an orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Shin completed a spine surgery fellowship at New England Baptist Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, Dr. Shin also served as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at the Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. Shin proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the Association of American Orthopedic Surgeons, the California Orthopaedic Association, and the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Shin enjoys getting to know the people in his care. He takes time to understand their unique symptoms and concerns and develops custom treatment plans that relieve pain and encourage mobility.
